The Olimpia lawn seed mixture created a beautiful lawn of fine texture, ideal for private gardens with mixed surfaces of shade and sun even in cool hill and mountain areas. Olimpia is made up of varieties of Festuca rubra, Lolium perenne and Poa pratensis of American and European origin specially selected to create ornamental lawns

At full maturity, Olimpia is very dense, fine and uniform, with a medium-dark green color and high resistance to trampling. Tolerant of various diseases (Mal Bianco, Filo Rosso, Dollar Spot and Microdochium nivale).

Usage Tips:

Sowing and Dosage

Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 8°C). The dosage is 30-35 g/m2, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect processing of the seed bed. We recommend using lawn soil. During regeneration, increase the dosage to 40-50 g/m2

Cut

Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm. During annual management in shaded areas do not go below 6 cm, while in mixed sun/shade areas keep to 4cm. Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present.

Irrigation

When sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. On mature lawns, irrigate with 6 mm/day of water in the summer period and increase to 10 mm/day in full shade from deciduous trees. Perform rest days.

Nutrition

Phosphate fertilization at sowing or reseeding. Subsequently, in the shade, opt for a 1:2 N/K ratio with no more than 15 nitrogen units m2/year. In sunny/shaded situations, do not exceed 20 nitrogen units m2/year. Plan 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to water stress and avoid reduction of the root system
