Made safe

Royal Sea by Bottos is a mixture of grass seeds characterized by the dual presence of micro and macrotherms, with a dark green shade and medium texture. Suitable for coastal and coastal areas in the Mediterranean area. Not suitable for shade. Ideal for technical grassing of highly used areas: campsites, grassed car parks, roundabouts and road flowerbeds.

The mixture is characterized by the use of the latest generation Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) cultivars, selected for the construction of high-quality lawns in hot areas with poor irrigation regime and with maximum resistance to trampling.

At full maturity and development, the lawn has excellent coverage which over time, thanks to the development of the improved bermuda grass, will tend to reach a state of compactness and density that is highly useful and at low costs. Tolerant to Summer Brown Spot and Spring Dead Spot diseases.

Composition:

40% Festuca arundinacea Inferno

40% Festuca arundinacea Rebounder/Fat Cat

10% Royal Bengal Bermudagrass

10% Perennial Ryegrass Thrive/All Starter

Usage Tips:

Sowing and Dosage

Germination can take from 7 to 15 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures. Please note that the required soil temperature is above 20°C. The dosage is 40-50 g/m2, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures or imperfect processing of the seed bed. It is always recommended to use lawn soil.

Cut

Carry out the first cut when the grass reaches 6 cm, immediately bringing it to 4 cm so as not to jeopardize the germination of the Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon). Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present. Do not go below 40 mm. By managing clippings above 60 mm, the carpet only becomes coarser in texture. If you want to further stimulate the development of Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) at the expense of Festuca arundinacea, keep the cut under 25 mm with the use of helical machines

Irrigation

When sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. In the summer period, irrigate with 10 mm of water every 3 days. Be careful not to overdo it with water so as not to encourage the development of seasonal diseases.

Nutrition

Phosphate fertilization at sowing and then subsequent management of the carpet with 25-35 units of nitrogen m2/year, choosing specific fertilizers with controlled release. Plan at least 4 fertilizations per year if you want to obtain a high-quality carpet. In association with what has been said, it would be good practice to carry out summer fertilizations to stimulate the development of Cynodon with one or two interventions with materials rich in the nitrogen fraction. On valuable lawns, also plan 2 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to trampling and heat.
