Forteprato di Bottos is a mixture of lawn seeds for easy and rustic settlements, light color and medium-large texture but very resistant to diseases and summer drought, therefore low management. It is an ideal mixture for all those who cannot dedicate a lot of time to lawn care.

The mixture, made up of arundinacea fescue which performs well in the heat and ryegrass characterized by its resistance to the cold, allows for continuous grassing throughout the four seasons, with very low maintenance levels and reduced water and fertilizer requirements/consumption. Also suitable for naturalistic use in Mediterranean areas in lowland or coastal areas.

Usage Tips:

Sowing and Dosage

Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures. Please note that the required soil temperature is above 8°C. The dosage is 40-50 g/m2, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures or imperfect processing of the seedbed. It is always recommended to use lawn soil.

Cut

Carry out the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm and during annual management in the shade do not go below 6 cm.

Irrigation

When sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. In the summer period, irrigate with 7 mm of water every day. If possible, during the months of July and August, program a 1-2 mm thermal irrigation every day around 11:00 (cooling).

Nutrition

Phosphate fertilization at sowing. For maintenance in the shade, opt for a 1:2 N/K ratio with no more than 15 nitrogen units m2/year; in sunny/shaded and/or full sun situations, it is good practice not to exceed 20 nitrogen units m2/year
