Opinel Knife N° 07 Chestnuts, garlic and for peeling

This pocket knife allows you to cut and peel chestnuts, but also to peel garlic cloves or quickly open hazelnuts and send them by making an incision on the fruit.

Ideal for preparing jams and cakes.

Its small size allows you to keep it comfortably in your pocket and its 4 cm bird's beak blade, pointed and short, is decidedly easier to handle than a long blade.

 Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel. Sandvik's modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its cutting edge and easy maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its excellent hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon percentage of at least 0.40% which allows you to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.
 Chestnut handle. Chestnut wood is one of the most beautiful wood species, it has a light and homogeneous color, a fine and regular grain and a very strong resistance over time.
 Safety ring . Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is present on all folding knives starting from N°06. Carved from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
