The most popular Opinel knife. The N°08 is versatile, practical and simple. It is useful for daily activities, both indoors and outdoors.

It has an 8.5cm stainless steel blade. Sharp and easy to maintain. The shape of the handle was designed to make using the knife comfortable.

The Virobloc safety system locks the blade in the open and closed position.

The mix of modernity and nature with intense and classic colors.

 Blade length: 8.5cm
 Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel. Sandvik's modified 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its cutting edge and easy maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its excellent hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon percentage of at least 0.40% which allows you to obtain a very satisfactory cut without being sensitive to corrosion. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.
 Lama Yatagan. The Yatagan is Opinel's traditional blade. Its shape is inspired by a Turkish sword, with a raised tip. The blade is milled with an exclusive curved profile, which guarantees its robustness and allows for effective resharpening.
 Hornbeam handle. The hornbeam comes from French companies. It is a white wood with few grains, ideal for applying colors without distorting them. The handle is varnished to be effectively protected from dirt and humidity.
 Safety ring . Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring is present on all folding knives starting from N°06. Carved from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
